Bake a gingerbread man

Not inspired by the movie franchise “The Gingerdead Man,” Capybaraforge’s Gingerdead Man is a free-to-play game about creating a gingerbread man from scratch. Don’t be fooled by the premise, though, because a horrifying surprise awaits you after making this tasty treat. Depictions of blood and gore are present here, too.

Play as two characters

With the player assuming the role of the protagonist and Santa, Gingerdead Man is a horror game with a holiday-themed facade. In the kitchen, the protagonist interacts with the dough, kneading it into a gingerbread man. While baking the treat, they decorate the Christmas tree to pass the time.

To their surprise, the gingerbread man is no longer in the oven. After finding it, the protagonist decorates the treat and places it beside a cup of milk for Santa. Shifting the perspective to Santa, he gets jumpscared and meets a bloody end. Sadly, the game only has one ending.

Gingerbread man baking gone horror

Gingerdead Man puts a horror take on the fun holiday tradition of making a gingerbread man. Unlike holiday-themed titles with a singular protagonist like Santa’s Present and Frosty the Snowhitman, the player can step into the shoes of both the protagonist and Santa — which makes for a refreshing gameplay experience.
